Halloween isn't just a holiday, it's a whole damn lifestyle. Every season is spooky season in my world, but there's something especially magical about dressing up during October's reign of the weird. I've dipped into the realm of SFX makeup a few times, not a pro, just someone who loves the process and the mess of transformation. For one of my favorite looks, I started by covering my right eye with a disposable eye patch and securing it using liquid latex. From there, I built out the injured area using Viva cloth paper towels layered with more latex. To create depth along my cheekbone, I sculpted dimension using Q-tips, and then tore open the paper towel to resemble a brutal, vacant eye socket. Once the texture was set, I went in with foundation to unify the tones and locked it in with translucent powder. Then came the finishing touch: fake blood!Splattered, pooled, and dragged for drama. It was messy, spooky, and a total blast. Thanks for peeking into my little world of eerie experimentation!
