Tucked in the heart of the Jefferson National Forest near Buchanan, Virginia, the Little Cove Mountain Trail is a 7-mile loop that doesn't hand anything to you. With sharp elevation gain and sparse trail markings, the journey was equal parts grit and enchantment.
It wasn't a straightforward hike. The path forked often. I took turns I didn't plan on, but there's a sort of poetry in that, isn't there? Wandering without certainty, letting curiosity guide me. These photos reflect what caught my eye and lingered in my mind.
